Welcome to Hill Equine Massage where we strive to see results and prevent injury in your best friend.

All animal athletes benefit from sports massage. Massage today is anything bu1t new. It was used centuries ago as a healing art. Sports massage is divided into performance maintenance massage, pre-event massage, and post-event massage as you’ll notice when you click through our site. The equine athlete can be defined as the high-level performance horse, contest horse or as the backyard buddy horse. The canine athlete can be defined as a guide dog, high-level agility dog, hunting dog or companion dog. No matter how you define your horse or dog they are all athletes. What they all have in common is soft tissue pain and injuries. Soft tissues are muscles, ligaments and tendons. Muscles are what move the joints, ligaments connect bone to bone and tendons attach the muscle to the bone. These soft tissues can become dysfunctional due to muscle cramps, sprains, strains, bruising, common muscle soreness, or recurring stress injuries.

2All animal athletes can suffer from these symptoms just like humans. The goal of sports massage therapy is to reduce mental and physical stresses for the animals by providing pain free function. This will not only enhance the animals health and well-being, but will also lead to a deeper bond between you and your animal.
